ABOUT ME!

Sarah Mello Trudel

Caring for animals has been my life's work. Following a 20 year long career in professional animal care -

I shifted my focus to building my own small business - to help many more animals find comfort and relaxation through individualized bodywork.

I have also owned and ridden horses for 35 years.

A lifelong animal lover, I was the kid in school with the "petting zoo" at home! Can you relate? The older I became,  the more I fully realized how strong my connection to the animal world was - and then began pursuing a career involving them.

An equestrian inside and out, I began waddling around in the barn with my cousins at the age of 4, and never stopped going to the barn! While I competed throughout my youth, junior and collegiate years in equitation and hunter/jumpers - I have shifted my focus with horses to equine language and foundation horsemanship.  I attend multiple clinics each year to further my knowledge.

A biologist by trade, I worked my way from beginner/apprentice to animal welfare curator and most recently served the federal government as an equine subject matter expert in Arlington, VA.  With decades of professional work experience assisting veterinarians, animal care professionals, and within equine facilities of all levels, I look at animals from a wholistic perspective - honoring both western and eastern wellness philosophies.

An empath, intuitive, and healer - I have always had a deep and quiet connection with animals.  My work with the energetic side of things began long ago and has been guided by generations of healers within my family, and honed through time spent with nationally recognized equine healers. I will not rush you or your animal through any energy healing sessions.  I strive to keep all informed and comfortable.

A yogi in life, I've been teaching mindfulness and yoga to groups and individuals since 2019.  I offer group or private instruction to equestrians at your farm or location of choice.

A mom and a wife shape what I do today.  My husband has been in law enforcement for over 20 years, and my son is a Merchant Marine.  We love our country, and do our best to serve it well.
